Even as I write this, I know that honestly, I haven't posted in a while...
Yeah yeah I know, lol.
But even as an intercessor that is called to help other intercessors, I get tired. We all do! And for each and everyone of us, life can get in the way. Life is a factor that we cannot fully control, that tries to take control of our time, joy, peace, and especially our prayer posture. And while we often try to blame the devil for everything under the sun, he has no real power. The enemy only has as much power as we allow him to.
So, how does the enemy take the power of the intercessor?
He uses people and life situations to put you into a position of having to make a decision on how you're going to respond.
So, the bill company that sent you that random notice that you have an extra fee to pay this month?
That coworker who had an attitude with you when you were just trying to help?
That road closure that happened on your route to work or dropping off the kids that made you late?
All of these common life things that may seem small can be open doors for the enemy to creep in and make you change your posture!
The definition of posture is to have a particular way of dealing with or considering something; an approach or attitude. Your posture in the spirit reveals how you approach the things of the world. So take a moment and ask yourself, what is your first response or posture that you take on when life happens? What area of your life are you still struggling to approach with a posture of prayer and not worry? Dear Intercessor, when was the last time you took inventory of your response?
The thing is, life is ALWAYS going to happen. But as ones that call ourselves God’s praying people and Intercessors, it’s up to us to make a conscious decision to stand firm in the posture that we know can keep us grounded: PRAYER. We have to remember that the posture of prayer is never useless, nor in vain, but is one of the most useful tools we have as believers!
Prayer is the one thing that keeps us steadfast, unmovable, and grounded in God.
The posture of prayer WILL keep you…never forsake it Intercessor.
1 Corinthians 15:58,”Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
