DEAR INTERCESSOR, God hears you!

Dear Intercessor, God hears you.

He hears you so much that he wouldn't let me drop this blog, lol. When he gave me this burden, He set it out to create this place as a safe place for his children, as a means for you all to come and receive from him. A safe place where the intercessor, watchmen, and prayer warrior can just be a daughter, a son.

When I think about the beginning process of this blog, I remember for hours how I’d sit at my computer contemplating what the first one would look like, sound like, and transcribe like. I thought about my journey as an intercessor for the Lord and what was the number one thing that I often needed and searched for. I thought about what the intercessor needed for themself.

I then realized that one of the main things that I often struggled with as an intercessor was the fact and knowledge that God hears me. 1 John 5:14-15 states,(This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.  After reading this scripture, I asked the Lord,” How does this apply to the intercessor?” He replied and said,” As my intercessor, you are an ambassador for all things prayer…including faith. My intercessors are seen as ones that not only know how to pray words, but also know how to pray WITH faith. They are assured ambassadors of faith just as much as I hold them to be ambassadors of prayer.”

As Intercessors, we are demonstrators of what it means to have active faith in the word of God and His will for his people. BUT that's also why we must allow the Lord to deal with the makeup of our faith in HIM. How can one pray for others if they don’t even believe the prayers for themself?

This scripture in 1 John uses the words confidence and know. The word confidence means to be sure or assured of something; to have firm trust in a thing. It resembles the word faith as faith means to have complete trust or confidence in a thing, idea, or doctrine. The demonstration of faith begins not just with you, but IN YOU. When I teach on intercessor, I always say that whatever is IN you is what will flow out of you. Faith, assured faith, must be in you, but translating faith through prayer begins in our own personal prayer lives. And the thing and doctrine that we are to have confidence and faith in is the word and will of God!

As Intercessors, we are matching our words AND faith to the word of God in the requests and petitions we take before the Father on behalf of others. So, the amount of assurance that we place within the Lord and His word matters (Proverbs 3:5). And because the faith of the intercessor acts as a force that is added to the word of God in the posture of prayer, we must build upon our faith each time a situation presents itself. We must posture ourselves in Philippias 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." so that faith, assuredness, and confidence can arise in us. We must continue to pray and intercede with the CONFIDENCE that God hears us, and stand on that in faith.
